The Client

TechSmith Corpor is a leader in screen capture and recording software, specialising in creating tools that help users communicate more effectively. Renowned for innovative products like Camtasia and Snagit, TechSmith stands out for its user-friendly interfaces and versatile functionalities, catering to a diverse range of digital content creators, educators and marketers.

The Brief

I was hired to help TechSmith re-optimise its SEO content. This involved working alongside an SEO agency to help write and rewrite more than 100 blog posts over an 12-month period. 


This was a fantastic project, not just because the TechSmith products I wrote about (Camtasia and Snagit) are fun to use, but because of the brand’s unique tone of voice. There were plenty of opportunities to add character to the copy and bring out TechSmith’s playful side. It’s not every day you get to use terms like ‘shark wrangler’ or hide niche film references in a blog post for a big tech firm — but the client loved it!
